Envirocure Ltd is capable of working to most of the recognised industry
standards of inspection.
The most common to find in use is a blend of the HVCA TR19 & CIBSE TM26. The
reason that these two guides can be simultaneously followed is that they
approach ventilation hygiene from different angles. They both call for annual
reviews of the buildings ventilation systems and an average assessment frequency
of every other year.
However, HVCA TR19 bases its condition criteria on debris based contaminates,
whilst CIBSE TM26 is based on bacterial colonisation. In order to undertake this
combined assessment, a qualified consultant would attend site, discuss the
buildings use with any available on site authorised personnel. Then walk the
building, planning which key areas to use as sample points for the purpose of
the audit.
Where possible the audit is performed using existing access points. The audit
itself gathers pictorial, bacterial and debris evidence using either vacuum test
(V.T) or deposit thickness test (DTT). These findings are then placed in a
report format.
Each system is then compared to the relevant guidelines and a risk category
allocated. Envirocure will then provide detailed recommendations as to the most
appropriate method of cleaning or which remedial action is applicable, supplying
budget costings to allow strategic planning.
